2024 BMW iX1 detachable towbar fitting.
We have installed a detachable tow bar to the new BMW iX1 fully electric SUV. Using a 13pin BMW dedicated wiring harness and fully removable swan neck towbar. The removable towbar neck is removed in seconds and leaves the car looking like it has no towbar fitted.
The underside of the bumper needs modification but not visible unless underneath the car.
This towbar installation took around 3.5 hours at our workshop in Bristol.
Please note we do not post towbar parts.
2020 BMW X3 M Competition (G01) detachable towbar Fitting. A detachable swan neck towbar accompanied by a BMW dedicated wiring loom configured for general towing.
Minor modifications made to the central bumper diffuser only.

2023 facelifted BMW X5 50e Tracker installation. This 2024 LCi BMW X5 now has a Vodafone Protect and connect s5 which is a Thatcham and insurance approved GPS tracking system with Driver recognition cards to help against key clone and key theft.
BMW E92 Pioneer installed with a Pioneer SPH-EVO950DAB boasting a 9″ screen. Equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 9″ floating screen is a perfect upgrade for all BMW E90 models. We have retained the multi function steering wheel controls and the rear parking sensor audible warnings.
2019 BMW 5 Series Estate (G31) applied with window tinting film. We applied a 80% block film which is similar to factory privacy glass. This still allows 20% of light to come through the glass. Both lighter and darker films are available.
2017 BMW 140i isntalled with Rear Parking Sensors. We have installed the Vodafone Automotive flush fitting sensors. Colour coded to 300 Alpine Weiss 300. The flush fitting sensor heads look factory fitted. They can also be added to the front if required.
2022 BMW (G42) 2 Series M-Sport installed with the latest Ghost 2 Immobiliser. The Ghost 2 immobiliser protects this BMW against key theft and key cloning. The immobiliser automatically activates when the ignition is turned off. To deactivate the Ghost Immobiliser you enter a unique driver code using a 4 digit button combination on the steering wheel. Only the owner/driver will know the correct code.
2022 BMW IX3 towbar installation using a detachable towbar manufactured in the UK by Tow-Trust. Only a very small modification required to the underside of rear bumper (not visible). We have used a ECS dedicated BMW wiring loom. This communication with the existing electronics to make towing the BMW IX3 fully electric car safer.
The all electric BMW IX3 has a 750kg towing capacity!
BMW Z4 (E89; 2009–2016) installed with an aftermarket Cruise Control kit. We used the LiteOn AP900Ci and Liteon CM35 stalk adaptor which is CanBus enabled that integrates into the BMW systems giving OE results.
2014 / E71 BMW X6 M50d installed with a detachable Westfalia towbar, 13pin BMW dedicated wiring and using a new replacement lower bumper trim from BMW which comes pre-painted in silver. When you have finished towing you can refit the central silver panel making this BMW X6M look like is dosent have a tow bar fitted.
2021 BMW X6 xDrive 40d M Sport (g06 chassis) installed with a Tow-Trust detachable swan neck towbar and 13pin fully populated towing socket. The towbar wiring is BMW Dedicated and integrated through the cars CAN (computer area network) system.
2021 BMW M135i installed with front and rear Thinkware Dash Camera’s. We used the Thinkware F800 Pro Dual camera system dash cam with cloud connectivity and built-in WiFi via an iOS or Android smart phone
2021 BMW x3 M-Sport (g01 chassis) installed with a removable Tow-Trust towbar and 13pin BMW dedicated towbar socket for cycle carriers. Only the underside of the bumper was modified, no visible cuts or modifications.
1994 BMW M3 Coupe (e36 chassis) having all the old dealer/factory security systems removed before installing some fresh modern security. We installed a Sigma S30 which is a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm & dual immobiliser and a Scorpion S7 Thatcham approved tracking system. The systems are connected together so the customer can view the vehicle 24 hours via the mobile phone app and also receive notifications if the alarm is triggered.
2021 BMW X7 M50d installed with a removable towing package. Once the towing neck has been removed nothing can be seen unless you are underneath the vehicle. The 13pin caravan socket is hidden under the bumper and swivels down when required.
2021 BMW 118 M-Sport with the M-Performance bodykit (f40 chassis) installed with a Witter removable Swan Neck towbar and BMW vehicle specific and dedicated wiring loom. Once hooked up the vehicle will enter ‘towing mode’ which will certain characteristics on the vehicle. Bulb monitoring on the trailer/caravan, rear pdc auto cut-off, rear fog light auto off, trailer stability enabled, auto hold handbrake adjusted.

2016 F11 BMW 520 M Sport installed with a detachable swan neck towbar and BMW vehicle specific CANbus wiring. Minimal lower valance modification which cant be seen unless underneath.
2017 BMW x5 (f15) X5M series installed with a detachable Tow-Trust tow bar. No bumper cut or modification required. BMW Approved wiring fully integrates with the vehicles CANbus network. This towbar will be compatible with AL-KO stabilisers commonly seen on modern caravans.
